Finding Happiness Brings More Acceptance To Life's Difficulties

Living in Happy Ways, changes your attitude toward what's happening in your body, mind & life.

For example: My experience of supporting my mother as she was dying from cancer, is a powerful example of finding gifts, in life's challenges. It was a difficult, painful time (and, of course I wish she had never had cancer).

However, I was finding happiness in being able to support her, in laughing & crying together at life's absurdities. The gifts of authentic happiness and healing remain with me and go much deeper than the pain.



Why I Developed Happy Ways Healing

Spruce: A very short story: Much of my life I chased after happiness and tried to run from my darker emotions. I could not "run" all the time, after a while I needed to stop and those nasty dark feelings would catch up. Anger, fear, sadness, anxiety and depression are very patient; they wait for an opening.

In my desire to find a better way to live with greater emotional wellness and a positive attitude, I explored many spiritual paths and healing methods. I found that happiness might be a passing mood, or a happy way of living, that is much deeper, and more central, to who we really are.

The holistic healing and self-growth tools and ideas I share with you I have used over the years to great benefit. I have also taught them to numerous people through my healing/coaching practice and in workshops. They really work!



We Don't Have To Do This Perfectly

I do not claim to use these tools perfectly. Actually the good news is we don't have to do anything perfectly --- aren't you relieved? (I certainly am!). We don't have to be more spiritual or more intelligent or more anything.



Willingness To Begin Again

We simply need willingness to begin again when we find we engage in old habits and thought patterns that create pain and suffering. It's really good to call these things habits, because we can change a habit. Often we call then character traits and then we're in a whole lot of trouble. It is very different to believe, "I have a habit of procrastination" or, "I am a procrastinator".



Healing Is An Experience of Inner Peace and Happiness

In the moments when inner peace & happiness are present we feel whole and healed even if our bodies or lives do not look healed.

The more we practice tools that promote peace and happiness, the more we experience finding happiness and practicing positive attitude tips as life habits. We just naturally spend more time experiencing emotional wellness and being optimistic about our lives.

Healing of our bodies, minds, and life circumstances happens more easily when we are practicing Happy Ways of living.



Emotional Wellness: A Different Relationship To Our Darker Emotions

Living in Happy Ways doesn't mean we don't experience the darker emotions of anger, sadness and fear. It means we have an easier, healthier relationship with those emotions, rather than getting stuck in them, and letting them run our lives.



A Spiritual Practice is Anything That Creates Authentic Happiness

I believe that anything that helps us live more in the present moment, with more compassion, kindness & joy is a spiritual practice.

However, you don't have to think of any of these tools as spiritual for them to be effective. Some of the most spiritual people I know, seldom, or never, talk in spiritual terms, but the way that they live spreads a lot of love and light.
